The holidays of some of the more common religions in the United States are listed here. There may be other religions not included that have their own observances. The law requires covered employers to reasonably accommodate the sincerely held religious beliefs or practices of employees, unless doing so would cause undue hardship for the employer.
Reasonable accommodations for religious beliefs and practices may require employers to make adjustments to the workplace to allow an employee to practice his or her religion. Some common examples include: flex scheduling, job reassignments, or shift swaps.
