The law permits companies to decide if they will allow firearms inside their buildings. Because of this new law it is important to restate and make clear XYZ Company’s policy on weapons in the workplace.
XYZ Company strictly prohibits employees and all other persons from bringing, storing, concealing, or possessing any weapon including, but not limited to, firearms, handguns, knives (except for company approved safety knives used in the course of work duties), and explosive devices on Company property. This policy applies even if the individual is licensed to carry a concealed weapon or firearms under state law.
