While employers may choose to observe many holidays, below is a list of the more common United States workplace holidays.

*Denotes federal holidays. When a holiday falls on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) the holiday usually is observed on Monday (if the holiday falls on Sunday) or Friday (if the holiday falls on Saturday).
