Randy is a director, compensation services. In this role he provides strategic compensation advice to MRA members while also focusing on detailed, tactical compensation plan aspects. One of his passions is teaching MRA members about building compensation structures. His extensive experience and examples of many diverse organizational needs brings information that is often complex to a clear understanding.
Expertise
Randy’s expertise is a result of 15 years of human resource management experience, primarily in compensation, wage and hour compliance, and labor issues. He counsels manufacturing, service, and not for profit organizations on a wide range of compensation issues. Randy has designed and implemented a variety of alternative pay programs and group and individual incentives.
Key Accomplishments
- Assisted a large not for profit agency with implementation of a compensation strategy to allow the agency to attract, retain, and motivate employees.
- Provided advice to a manufacturer to implement a goalsharing incentive plan for production employees.
- Provided advice to a large service employer to comply with wage and hour requirements, with specific focus on overtime exempt status criteria.
Education
Randy holds a master’s degree in industrial and labor relations from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.
