When Kathy was 8, she decided to be a journalist. Three decades later, the newspaper industry’s disruption spurred her to pursue an equally strong passion—learning and development. Drawing on her experience in media management and executive education, Kathy weaves theory and practice together to help leaders gain the skills to guide their teams to success. Because as leaders, we all need to help others achieve more than they thought possible.

Kathy designs and delivers training based on real-life, practical examples, drawing out participants’ expertise to create interactive, memorable, and useful learning experiences. As a team leader and operations manager, Kathy never forgets the people in the process, working collaboratively through all levels of an organization to effect change. As a recruiter, Kathy focuses on fit, ensuring that a candidate’s skills and goals match the needs and goals of the organization.

Education
Kathy earned an MBA in HR management from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She holds undergradate and graduate degrees in journalism from Northwestern University.
Professional and Community Activities
Kathy is active in Metro Milwaukee SHRM, serving as co-chair of the Performance & Development group. She and her husband volunteer for the Friends of the Monarch Trail and The Nature Conservancy, spreading their enthusiasm for milkweed and the monarch butterfly.
