Melissa said she never thought she would write about a TV show in her bio, but Ted Lasso exemplifies HR and leadership, and she couldn’t pass it up. It is important that HR leaders embrace organizational change, though it rarely comes easy. It is important that HR professionals help embrace the discomfort and show empathy along the way. Let’s all find our inner Ted Lasso and understand that the ride will be difficult, but we must remain relentless and compassionate.

Melissa has 8 years of HR experience. She has a background in talent management, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, leave management, and payroll. Melissa is a Certified Professional through SHRM. She has also worked as a generalist and Human Resource Business Partner in the health care industry. She loves seeing others succeed and have that “light-bulb” moment.
Education
Melissa earned a master’s degree in human resource management from Keller Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Ohio State University, both in Columbus, OH.
