Denise Jamison

People see what you say and hear what you do, but they aren’t listening to a word you say.

 

 

In her 20+ years, Denise has learned that “what you do is what counts” and has made the above quote a mainstay in her learning and development strategy. “Patience” is the word that has been used to describe Denise. Denise brings her experience as a high school teacher in the Minneapolis Public Schools, a post-secondary teacher in the cosmetology trade industry, and presenting and facilitating large groups around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy and implementation. Denise is known for bringing her wit, approachable personality and seasoned perspective to every learning environment.

• Led the development and delivery of a company-wide diversity and inclusion platform for a beauty industry leader
• Leveraged extensive expertise in adult learning, cultural change initiatives, and mentoring/coaching to create innovative corporate learning programs
• Initiated and led the ongoing sustainable zero-waste strategy, aligning with corporate social responsibility mission

Professional and Community Activities

Denise currently volunteers as a master recycler/composter for the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Look Good Feel Better, American Cancer Society. Outside of work and volunteering, Denise likes Zumba, traveling, and reading political thriller novels.
