With more than 20 years of human resources experience prior to joining MRA, Laurie has worked as a human resources manager in both a nonprofit academic health care organization and a for-profit specialty retailer. Recognized for her thoughtful approach to every human resources situation, Laurie is exceptionally customer-focused.
Certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Laurie has held generalist and leadership roles focusing on talent acquisition, on-boarding, employee relations and investigations, employee engagement, and leadership development. Laurie also has extensive experience in advising leaders regarding compliance and best practice in FMLA and ADA administration, right-sizing, and performance management. She has also created and facilitated leadership training, developed and updated policies and procedures, administered employee engagement surveys and addressed results, and developed HR metrics.

- Successfully developed and delivered training and development programs, including topics such as harassment and discrimination, recruitment and selection, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Helped plan, design, and implement several new initiatives for a large employer of over 5,000 employees, including an employee engagement survey and performance management process.
Laurie earned her bachelor’s degree in human resources management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a master’s degree in business administration from UW-Milwaukee.
