In our last edition of Inside HR, we asked organizations if they offer student loan repayment as a benefit for employees.
A very small percentage (4%) indicated they offer student loan repayment, while most of the respondents (77%) indicated they do not. However, 15 percent are considering it. The remaining responses were related to tuition reimbursement.
Student loan repayment assistance programs are becoming a hot topic of conversation among employers who want to stand out from the crowd. Knowing that many college grads have large student loans to repay, offering this type of benefit could be an attraction and retention tool to look into.
